The Team
Attenda grew out of an organisation that developed business, brand and mission critical internet applications. This company found it impossible to find anyone to operate these applications 24 by 7, and so Attenda was born. That was in 1997, since then the company has grown substantially and many of the same individuals who worked in both those businesses are still at Attenda. Over the last 10 years the company has assembled a truly exceptional team whose focus is solely on keeping critical applications Always On – 24 hours a day. There is a common understanding that if the application is not working then our Clients cannot operate their business – be it an invoice that needs sending out, a payroll running or credit card purchase approving.

The Leadership Team
The group of people that have the pleasure of helping direct the efforts of this team are as follows:
Simon Downing – Non Executive Chairman
Simon has over 20 years experience in the IT industry and brings to Attenda his expertise in managed services and IT outsourcing, with market sector specialisation extending from local authorities to banks. Simon is the current CEO of Civica, and has been responsible for taking the company through its various stages of growth and ownership. He led the team that completed the management buyout of Civica plc with 3i in May 2008, and since then has grown the business to £ 180m turnover in 2011.
Mark Fowle – Chief Executive Officer
Mark co-founded Attenda and has worked in the business since 2000, leading the early investment rounds and now leading the management team on a journey to develop the best managed services company in Europe. Prior to Attenda, Mark's background was in both UK startups and managing US technology firms – working in Europe and Asia Pacific.
Paul Howard – Chief Financial Officer
Paul ensures that the company works, not just from a Client perspective but that all of the things that are needed to run a top notch, fast growing business are in place; so that the business has everything it requires to concentrate on doing a first rate job for its Clients. Prior to Attenda Paul was COO at MarchFirst and MD of Earth Observation Sciences.
Paul Morris – VP, Client Service Delivery
After 25 years at the Automobile Association running the IT operations for what was dubbed ‘the 4th Emergency Service’, Paul joined Attenda in 2000 to run all of the company's Client operations teams and the innovative platforms developed to help. His ambition is to be bored at work.
