Attenda selects Datum for high specification data centre facilities
Newly built data centre to provide Attenda Clients with extensive range of infrastructure, technology and services
London - 9 October 2012 - Attenda Limited, the Business Critical IT Company, today announced that it has chosen to commission its new purpose built data centre facility with Datum Data Centres Limited, on the QinetiQ Cody Business Park.
The data centre facility is being built to Attenda's exacting standards, with the latest green IT efficiencies, and all of the security, power, cooling, fire protection and carrier neutral connectivity demanded for its highly resilient, enterprise class managed services and cloud platforms.
Commenting on the announcement, Paul Morris, VP Client Service Delivery, Attenda says, "Our existing data centres are reaching capacity, so we needed to provision a new facility to support our ambitious growth plans. The challenge was to find a suitable location, with the capability to match the current and future needs of our growing Client base and strategic partners. Located in Farnborough, Hampshire, the new data centre will provide Attenda clients with managed hosting, cloud services and co-location capabilities, to complement and extend capacity and services available within its three existing UK data centres; providing a regional location for primary and secondary data centre requirements. Attenda is initially taking 100 racks and will deploy its Monitoring and Management and Managed Cloud platforms, with extensive connectivity to other Attenda and third party data centres.
