The Challenge
Travelodge needed a scalable and reliable solution to better manage its business critical website application, to handle an increasing number of customer reservations made online and to maximise revenue potential. It required a hosting service provider that could fully support its Linux solution. Attenda seemed to provide the ideal fit, given their ability to take on responsibility for pro-active managing of its network of systems. So, Travelodge took the strategic decision to entrust the management of its website production environment and disatser recovery solution to Attenda.
The Solution
Attenda is managing the production website environment and disaster recovery solution for Travelodge. The contract has also been extended to include management of their Refund System infrastructure. The solution is based on Red Hat Enterprise Linux solution running on HP mid range servers. Attenda uses Red Hat Network to manage the servers, ensuring that Travelodge is kept up to date with the latest security patches and management tools. Since building its relationship with Attenda, Travelodge has additionally looked to Attenda for management of its SAP environment. Attenda provides an SAP managed service that covers application hosting, infrastructure, Netweaver and SAP application support.
